The Anet A8 and A6 printers are great printers for the money, but they do need some safety upgrades. The Anet printers can also benefit from performance upgrades but they are really not necessary at the beginning. In this video I discuss why you should wait to upgrade until you have a firm grasp on the 3d printing basics. Automatic bed leveling and Octoprint are great but they require a lot of time and patience to implement.
